Patrick also traveled internationally, covering Dr. Robert Ballard’s “Jason Project” with a trek to Peru, broadcasting live from the jungles along the Amazon River.

In 2000, Patrick fulfilled a lifelong desire to move West, arriving in Orange County, California to become Chief Meteorologist at the Orange County Newschannel. In August 2002 , Patrick moved to the Palm Springs area to take a position with new Coachella Valley CBS affiliate, where he’s served as on air meteorologist for nearly 2 decades.
